ANNICK TIMMER

West Africa / Frontier Destinations

Building
where the world
isn't looking yet.

Annick Timmer's work in West Africa focuses on the commercial side of frontier destination development — identifying how hospitality, real estate, culture, experience and international positioning can help transform emerging coastal markets into destinations.

Her current work includes two development mandates in Liberia, spanning two distinct expressions of the country's evolving coastal opportunity: Settlers Cove in Marshall City and Edina in Grand Bassa County.

Frontier
does not mean
undiscovered.

It means
not yet fully
defined.

The opportunity in frontier destinations is not simply being early.

It is participating in the process through which a place develops its hospitality product, experiences, identity, international audience and commercial ecosystem.

That requires more than real estate. It requires destination thinking.

On the Ground / Liberia

Two projects.
Two coastal markets.
One emerging destination story.

Project 01 — Marshall City / Liberia

Settlers Cove

Coastal Residences · Beach Club

A new expression of coastal living.

Settlers Cove is an emerging residential and hospitality development in Marshall City, Liberia, bringing together contemporary coastal villas and a hospitality-led beach club along Liberia's Atlantic coast.

The project represents a more intimate approach to destination development — where residential design, coastal living and hospitality come together within an emerging market.

Not just a resort.
A destination in the making.

Mixed-Use Hospitality + Culture + Residential + Destination Development

In Grand Bassa County, Edina represents a different scale of frontier development.

Conceived as a destination ecosystem rather than a standalone hospitality asset, the project brings together hotel accommodation, residences, a beach club, art, entertainment, cultural programming and supporting infrastructure.

Its strategy is built around creating reasons to travel — not simply places to stay.

One country.
Two development
strategies.

Residential + Lifestyle

Settlers Cove

Contemporary coastal villas supported by a hospitality-led beach club.

Destination + Hospitality

Edina

A larger mixed-use destination proposition combining hospitality, residences, culture, entertainment and destination infrastructure.

Different products.
Different markets.
The same fundamental question:

What does it take to create demand where the market is still being formed?

The Mandate

The commercial side of frontier development.

Annick Timmer's work in Liberia sits on the commercial side of development — connecting real estate with market positioning, hospitality, partnerships, international audiences and the broader destination story. Both engagements are current development mandates; Annick is not the developer or owner of either project.

Liberia is the current chapter.
Frontier destinations are the bigger conversation.

The principles being explored through Annick's work in Liberia extend well beyond one country.

Across West Africa, coastal markets, growing cities, cultural economies and evolving hospitality sectors are creating new questions for developers, investors, brands and tourism leaders.
